Dr. Rajaram, graduated from IIT, Kharagpur, India with a B. Tech (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering. He has a PhD from BITS, Pilani, India, in Software Engineering.
At ATMECS, Dr. Rajaram leads the technology research function, and provides direction to the product ideation and envisioning overtures. His key focus areas are IoT, IIoT, IIoT Security. He started his career in the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, India, where he worked developing real-time software handling Radars and Missiles for the Indian Air Force. He then joined the Defense Project Cell of the Government of India, in New Delhi as Joint Director, where he led a team of software engineers working on real-time projects for the Indian Navy.
He turned an Entrepreneur in 1986 when he and his colleagues developed the first-ever commercial email software in India, which was used by several companies for their intracompany communications. By 1990, his company had a combined user base of 10,000 users.
In 2012, Dr. Rajaram founded Kritilabs Technologies Pvt, Ltd, which went on to become NASSCOM’s best emerging IOT company in 2019 and the Best Start-up of the year of TIE. The company has served large Public and Private sector companies with its innovative IoT products. These products have been patented in the US and India and are designed and developed and manufactured in India. Around 50,000 IoT devices have been deployed in the last couple of years.
Dr. Rajaram has many publications, including in the prestigious IEEE Journal. Dr. Rajaram has six patents, three each in the US and in India, besides a few more that are pending in the Indian Patent Office. Dr. Rajaram has also won two Innovation awards for his solutions to challenges published by the US-based Innocentive Group.
Dr. Rajaram’s interests include the Mentorship and Development of Entrepreneurs and SMEs. Dr. Rajaram is a certified Team Software Process Coach and Personal Software Process trainer of the Software Engineering Institute at Pittsburgh, USA, and has conducted several workshops for major IT companies in India and overseas.
In his spare time he plays tennis and reads business, technology, fiction, and non-fiction books.
